SuperSport and Premier League TV Presenter, Carol Tshabalala has shared with aspiring female Journalists tips on how to deal with sexual harassment in their line of work.
During a discussion session at the maiden Africa Women’s Sport Summit Wednesday, the South African broadcaster said:
“Always be professional. You need to find a balance and be aware of your boundaries.”
The Summit, an initiative by Ghanaian Sports Journalist Juliet Bawuah, is aimed at driving change by advocating for greater female inclusion and leadership in the African Sports ecosystem.
This year’s event is under the theme ‘Take Your Place.’
The award-winning Journalist has served as a flagship anchor for the coverage of many major football, rugby and boxing events, and also hosts live shows for IMG’s Premier League productions from London. In 2011 she became the first and only African to host a FIFA Ballon d’Or ceremony.
The Pan-African event will take stock of the gains made so far by African women in sports, and offer a clear path to fill the gaps.
The 2019 #AWSportsSummit is supported by Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel, Kenya Airways, Expert Travel, Dr. Bates Solutions, EIB Network and Stimuluz.
